At Abide Interiors, furniture delivery is carefully coordinated from the moment your order is placed. Our team processes your order, confirms the most suitable freight service for the items and destination, and keeps you informed as your furniture moves from our Kunda Park warehouse to your home.
We arrange furniture delivery across Australia, including local deliveries throughout the Sunshine Coast, regional Queensland, capital cities and remote locations. Depending on the size and weight of your order, delivery may be completed by a general freight provider, a specialist bulky-furniture carrier or, for selected local orders, the Abide Interiors delivery team.
Delivery times vary according to the product, destination and carrier schedule. General freight commonly arrives within approximately three business days after dispatch, while bulky furniture can take between one and fourteen business days. For customers who would prefer assistance beyond standard delivery, White Glove Delivery and installation may also be available by prior arrangement.
Whether you are ordering a single dining chair, a substantial dining table, a new sofa or furniture for an entire home, our team will help coordinate a practical and reliable delivery solution for your order.
Order Processing and Dispatch
We always endeavour to process orders on the same business day they are received or by the following business day at the latest. Processing includes confirming your order details, checking product availability and selecting the appropriate delivery service.
Once your order has been processed, our team considers the dimensions, weight, quantity and handling requirements of the furniture, together with the delivery location and property access. This allows us to choose a freight method suited to both the product and the destination.
Order processing and dispatch are separate from the time your furniture spends in transit. A delivery estimate therefore begins once the order has been dispatched, rather than on the date it was purchased.
Dispatch timeframes may vary during promotional events, public holidays or periods of unusually high order volume. Delays can also occur when an order includes multiple products that need to be consolidated before dispatch. If an unexpected delay affects your order, our team will provide an update as soon as practical.
How We Deliver Furniture Across Australia
Abide Interiors works with a network of general freight providers, bulky-goods specialists and experienced furniture carriers to arrange furniture shipping across Australia. The delivery method is selected according to the type of furniture ordered, its packing requirements, the destination and the services available in that area.
General Freight
Smaller furniture, homewares and standard cartons can generally travel through our general freight network. Orders may be transported as individual cartons or secured to a pallet, depending on their size, weight and packaging.
Bulky Furniture Freight
Large, heavy or fragile pieces usually require a specialised furniture freight provider. This may apply to items such as entertainment units, substantial storage furniture, dining tables, modular seating and selected beds.
Specialist carriers are accustomed to handling furniture that cannot travel safely or efficiently through a standard parcel network. Their routes and delivery schedules may differ from those used for general freight.
Sunshine Coast and Local Queensland Deliveries
For selected furniture deliveries throughout the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, your order may be delivered directly by the Abide Interiors team using our own delivery truck. Availability depends on the products ordered, the delivery address, property access and our local delivery schedule.
Our Kunda Park location also provides a convenient base for customers arranging furniture delivery or collection within South East Queensland. If you are unsure which service applies to your postcode, please contact our team before ordering.
Furniture Delivery Times and Estimated Lead Times
How long furniture delivery takes depends primarily on whether the order travels through general freight or a specialist bulky-furniture service. The destination, carrier route, weather, road conditions and seasonal freight volumes can also affect the final delivery date.
All delivery timeframes are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates. Our team will provide the most relevant information available when your order is processed.
General Freight Delivery Times
Orders dispatched through our general freight network usually take approximately three business days to reach most metropolitan and regional locations after dispatch.
Some deliveries to capital cities may arrive as soon as the next business day. Furniture freight travelling to remote areas can take one week or longer, depending on the distance, regional freight schedule and services available at the destination.
General freight lead times may be affected by:
Carrier volumes and seasonal demand
Public holidays and depot closures
Severe weather or flooding
Road closures and transport disruptions
Regional and remote freight schedules
Delays transferring freight between depots
Tracking details will be provided when they are available, allowing you to monitor the progress of your order after dispatch.
Bulky Furniture and Specialist Carrier Lead Times
Bulky furniture delivery generally takes between one and fourteen business days after dispatch. The actual timeframe depends on the carrier’s route, the delivery location and whether the destination is serviced daily or as part of a scheduled regional run.
Specialist furniture carriers often combine deliveries within a particular region. As a result, the arrival date may be determined by the next available run through your area rather than a daily delivery schedule.
Where possible, the carrier will contact you directly to confirm a delivery day or provide an estimated delivery window. Please ensure the contact information supplied with your order is current so that the carrier can reach you when required.
If you need your furniture before a particular date, speak with our team before placing your order. We can provide an estimate based on the product, destination and available service, although carrier timeframes cannot be guaranteed.
White Glove Furniture Delivery and Installation
White Glove Delivery offers a more complete service for customers who would prefer assistance bringing larger furniture into the home, unpacking it and preparing it for use. It may be available when an order is transported by one of our specialist bulky-furniture carriers.
Depending on the product, location, property access and carrier availability, White Glove Installation can include:
Delivery of the furniture into your home
Careful unpacking of the product
Basic furniture assembly
Placement or installation in the nominated room
Removal of packaging and associated delivery materials
This service can be particularly helpful for large dining tables, entertainment units, sideboards, beds, sofas and other substantial pieces that may be difficult to lift, position or assemble without assistance.
White Glove Delivery is not automatically included in standard furniture freight charges. It must be requested before delivery so we can confirm that the service is available in your area and include the correct handling requirements in the freight booking.
Pricing is calculated according to the furniture ordered, delivery location, stairs, lift access, parking conditions, room placement and installation requirements. For a personalised White Glove Installation quote, please contact Abide Interiors with your postcode, product details and relevant access information.
Warehouse Collection from Kunda Park
Customers are welcome to collect orders directly from the Abide Interiors warehouse in Kunda Park, Queensland. Warehouse collection can be a convenient option for Sunshine Coast customers or anyone arranging suitable transport independently.
Once your order has been prepared, our team will contact you to confirm that it is ready. Please do not travel to the warehouse until you have received this confirmation, as furniture may need to be located, checked and prepared before collection.
Before arriving, make sure your vehicle or trailer can safely accommodate the dimensions and weight of the furniture. We recommend bringing appropriate protective and securing equipment, which may include:
Furniture blankets or clean protective coverings
Load-rated straps and tie-downs
Corner protection where required
A trailer or vehicle with sufficient load capacity
Additional assistance for large or heavy pieces
Customers are responsible for checking that collected items are safely positioned and secured before leaving the warehouse. Product dimensions can be found on individual product pages, but our team can provide further guidance if you are uncertain about the transport space required.
Our warehouse is located alongside the Abide Interiors Kunda Park showroom at 25 Kerryl Street, Kunda Park, Queensland.
Organising Your Own Furniture Freight Carrier
Customers may arrange for their own freight provider or removalist to collect an order from our Kunda Park warehouse. Please coordinate the collection with our team in advance so the furniture can be prepared and released at the agreed time.
When a customer appoints their own carrier, responsibility for the order transfers to the customer once the products have been collected from the Abide Interiors warehouse. Abide Interiors cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, mishandling or delays that occur while the goods are in the care of a customer-appointed freight provider.
Any claim relating to transport arranged independently must be raised directly with the carrier selected by the customer. We recommend confirming the carrier’s furniture-handling experience, insurance arrangements and claims process before making a booking.
When freight is booked and coordinated by Abide Interiors, genuine transit damage will be managed by our team in accordance with our delivery and warranty procedures. Additional information about our standard arrangements is available on our Delivery & Shipping page.
Preparing for Bulky Furniture Delivery
A little preparation helps your delivery proceed safely and reduces the risk of delays, redelivery fees or access complications. Before the carrier arrives, check the route from the delivery vehicle to the intended room and remove any obstacles that could restrict movement.
Please consider:
The width and height of doorways, hallways and entry points
Stairwell dimensions, turns, landings and overhead clearance
Lift dimensions, weight restrictions and booking requirements
Apartment loading docks and building access procedures
Narrow driveways, restricted street access or limited parking
Steps, steep inclines, gravel paths or difficult terrain
Gates, security access and permitted delivery times
The packaged dimensions and weight of the furniture
Existing furniture that may need to be moved beforehand
Measure the complete access route rather than the room alone. A piece may fit comfortably in its final position but still be unable to pass through a doorway, stairwell or lift.
It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that the furniture can be moved safely through every access point. Please disclose stairs, restricted access and other handling requirements when requesting a freight or White Glove Delivery quote.
Additional charges may apply when delivery requires extra labour, redelivery, specialist lifting equipment, extended carrying distances or access conditions that were not included in the original quote. If you are uncertain whether a piece will fit, contact our team with photographs and measurements before dispatch.
What to Do If Your Furniture Arrives Damaged
Every care is taken when furniture is packed and transported, but occasional transit damage can occur. Inspect your order as soon as practical after delivery, including the furniture, outer packaging and any visible protective materials.
If you notice damage:
Take clear photographs of the entire product
Photograph the damaged area from several angles
Photograph the packaging and shipping label
Retain all original packaging and protective materials
Record any relevant details noted at the time of delivery
Contact the Abide Interiors team promptly
Where freight was organised by Abide Interiors, our team will assess the information provided and help arrange an appropriate resolution. Keeping the packaging allows us to understand how the damage may have occurred and may be necessary if the carrier needs to inspect or collect the item.
Please do not discard packaging or attempt significant repairs before speaking with us. You can report a delivery concern through our Contact Us page.
